Match the Site to the Medication

Different sites have different absorption rates. The abdomen has the fastest absorption, followed by the arms, then the thighs, then the buttocks. Rapid-acting insulin is best injected in the abdomen for quick action, while long-acting insulin can go in the thighs or buttocks for slower, steadier absorption.

Rotate Within Sites Too

Don't inject the exact same spot within the same area. Move at least 2cm from your last injection point. DoseStream tracks the general area — but within each area, keep a mental map and rotate systematically.

Inspect Your Sites Regularly
